Here Renato tells us about his journey into the plumbing industry:
Since I arrived in the United Kingdom, I have worked and changed careers a few times.
From 2004 until 2009, I worked as a catering deputy Manager dealing with front of house and back house staff, and also dealing with customers.
Then I have worked as private security, moving around Spain, Italy, Dubai, Greece, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Holland and Sweden; because of family issues. I changed my career and since 2015 I worked as a Corporate Security Shift Supervisor.
Since the end of May 2018 I decided to take a different approach and join the plumbing industry and I enrolled myself onto this course with the New Trade Career, and I was studying and working at the same time.
Since 21st January 2019, I moved even closer to my dream plumbing career and started my practical training with the lovely and fantastic training professional team, and I’ve been given all the support I need.
I am looking forward to successful completion of the course and work in the trade for a few years and then start my own company.
I encourage young people and adults to get into the plumbing industry.
